‘We’re not stopping until there’s an agreement.’ That’s the rallying cry of thousands of Israeli women from every part of the political and social spectrum, along with members of Knesset, over 20 mayors and other municipal leaders, cultural icons, Palestinian and Jordanian women and supporters from abroad including Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Leymah Gbowee, who are taking part in October’s March of Hope calling for a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. 4% of the 646 Israeli and Arab Israeli respondents said a peace accord would never be reached, in survey conducted by the Project HaMidgam institute for the Walla news website. Fewer than 1 in 4 said accord between Israel and Palestinians possible, but not in next 5 years. Cost of living considered most pressing problem.
