Adalah - The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel is an independent NGO, recognised by the Israeli government, that works to promote and defend the rights of Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel (some 1.2 million people, or 20% of the population) as well as Palestinians living in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). Its professional lawyers appear often before the High Court of Justice and other Israeli courts and it has an impressive record of strategic legal achievements.
