The exile’s return – Dorit Rabinyan – The Guardian Australia edition 03.04.04
They were young, talented and free in New York. Dorit Rabinyan was an Israeli novelist and Hassan Hourani was a Palestinian artist. Their passionate friendship, impossible at home, flourished abroad. In 2003, visiting his family, Hourani drowned in Jaffa. Rabinyan wrote him a farewell letter.
